Like two hands cupped together. This small house for a family of 5 was designed to provide a sense of shelter and security. The prominent geometry of the folding roof and delicate lines of the trellis facade interact with each other to create a sense of enclosure. The interior space is highly functional, featuring moving partitions which allow for 2, 3, or 4 bedroom spaces. Subtle changes in level create a sense of spatial hierarchy and allow for the creation of intimate spaces within the larger volume.
